Luton and London: the journey
London Luton Airport sits just off the M1 north of London: the airport's driving directions say to leave the motorway at Junction 10, from where the airport is about two miles away. Your transfer runs between the terminal and your exact Central London address, in either direction.
The route pages below show live base fares for every vehicle on the Luton–Central London route. For an address elsewhere in London, use the fare form above.
Pickups and the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone
Luton uses a single Drop Off and Pick Up Zone next to the terminal. It is barrier-free and cashless, charged per visit and paid online, vehicles must not be left unattended, and the maximum stay is 30 minutes. The airport's own taxi guidance tells passengers with a pre-booked car to head to the Pick Up Zone or their agreed meeting area — for MisterFare, follow the meeting instructions supplied with your booking.
Because time in the zone is limited, it helps to be ready when your driver arrives. Your pickup uses the date and time you book and is not changed automatically if your flight is early or late; any waiting options available for Luton pickups are shown during booking, before you pay.
Luton transfer or the train?
Luton Airport Parkway station is connected to the terminal by the Luton DART, an automated shuttle the airport says takes about four minutes and runs 24/7. From Parkway, East Midlands Railway's Luton Airport Express and Thameslink trains run into London, with Thameslink calling at stations including St Pancras, Farringdon, City Thameslink, London Blackfriars and London Bridge.
A private transfer avoids the shuttle-and-train change: the same vehicle takes your party and luggage from the terminal to your door. That can suit families with pushchairs, groups travelling together and late arrivals; travellers heading close to a Thameslink station may prefer the train.
How your Luton fare is calculated
Base fares come from MisterFare's live route and vehicle pricing; the vehicle cards on this page show what each category currently starts from on listed routes. Your final fare depends on your exact address, date, time, vehicle and party size, and any charge that applies — such as the Central London Congestion Charge during charging hours — is shown as a separate line before payment. A baby seat can be added as an optional extra during booking.
