How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Last updated: 2026-09-17
Please read this page carefully. If anything is unclear, contact us before booking.
We collect the information needed to provide your booking: your name, email address and phone number; the pickup and drop-off addresses for your journey; your travel date, time and passenger numbers; and any hotel, room number or notes you give us. Payment is taken by our payment processor, so we receive confirmation of payment but never see or store your card details. We also record limited technical information automatically when you book โ your IP address and browser user-agent string โ which we use to detect fraudulent or abusive bookings.
We use your information to arrange and deliver your booking, take payment, provide customer support, and send booking-related messages such as confirmations and driver details. Our lawful basis for this is performance of a contract with you โ we cannot provide the journey without it. We keep booking and payment records afterwards on the basis of a legal obligation, because UK tax law requires it. We use your IP address and user-agent to prevent fraud and abuse on the basis of our legitimate interests in protecting the service. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only on the basis of your consent, which you give or refuse through the cookie banner and can change at any time.
Essential cookies keep your session, booking cart and language or currency preference working, and are always active because the site cannot function without them. Separately, we use analytics and advertising cookies โ Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel โ which help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising. These are never loaded until you accept them: when you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject, nothing analytics-related runs until you choose, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your decision at any time using the link below.
We share the information needed to deliver your booking with the professional driver assigned to your journey, and with trusted service providers who help us operate the service, including our payment processor and mapping provider for address lookup and distance calculation. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Some of our service providers, including our payment processor and mapping provider, may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' own compliance with recognised data protection safeguards to protect your information.
We keep personal data only as long as we need it, and an automated job runs every night to delete or anonymise data that has passed its retention period. In practice: abandoned booking baskets are deleted after 90 days; quotes and enquiries that do not become a booking are deleted after 90 days; the IP address and browser information attached to a booking are erased after 12 months. Booking and payment records are kept for six years, because UK tax and accounting law requires it โ after that the financial record is retained but stripped of everything that identifies you, and your customer record is anonymised. If you have an account with no bookings, you can delete it at any time and your data is removed immediately.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have your data deleted when we no longer need it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. If you have an account you can exercise most of these yourself: sign in and open the Data & Privacy page, where you can download everything we hold as a file, correct your details, or close your account. If you do not have an account, or you would rather we did it for you, email us and we will respond within one month. Where a booking must be kept for tax reasons we will tell you which records those are and when they will be erased. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has been handled incorrectly. Open the Data & Privacy page.
Our service is intended for use by adults booking transport for themselves and their travelling companions, including children travelling with them. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children; any details about a child passenger are provided by the adult making the booking.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
